Prime Minister met with H.E. Mr. Heizo Takenaka, Professor Emeritus of Keio University and former Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, during his visit to Bhutan.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, with particular emphasis on hydropower, agriculture, and tourism—key sectors in Bhutan’s development strategy. Both sides discussed ways to deepen collaboration, exchange expertise, and explore potential investment and technology support from Japan.
Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Japan’s continued friendship and support, while Mr. Takenaka reaffirmed Japan’s interest in working closely with Bhutan to promote sustainable growth and innovation.
