Young Entrepreneurs Showcase Homemade Products at Drukyuel Fair
In the heart of Thimphu, a group of young people with diverse backgrounds has come together for a social purpose that will unite the community. They are organizing a youth event called Drukyuel – A Homemade Fair, which will take place at Changlimithang Parking from May 31st to June 4th, 2023.
The Drukyuel Fair is an initiative aimed at promoting Bhutanese culture and tradition while providing a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their homemade products. The group of young organizers comprises individuals from various backgrounds, including students, professionals, and entrepreneurs who share a passion for giving back to society.
Pelden Wangchuk, one of the organizers of the Drukyuel fair, shared his thoughts about the event. “We believe that the fair is an opportunity for us to showcase the best of Bhutanese culture and tradition, and provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their homemade products. We want to create a space for people to come together, connect, and enjoy the experience.”
The Drukyuel Fair promises to be an exciting event with an array of activities, including traditional games, music, dance, and food. The fair will also feature a variety of homemade products, including handcrafted jewelry, clothing, accessories, organic food, and natural skincare products.
“We are looking to create a unique experience for our visitors. Our aim is to showcase the creativity and talent of young entrepreneurs in Bhutan while promoting sustainable living,” said Pelden Wangchuk.
The organizers of the Drukyuel Fair have been working tirelessly to make the event a success. From securing sponsorships to designing marketing materials, the group has worked together to bring their vision to life.
“We have received overwhelming support from our sponsors and the community. It’s heartening to see people come together for a social cause,” shared Pelden.
