She shared that she saw an opportunity to utilize the region’s abundant agricultural diversity and, in particular, the unexplored grains are known as Druna Ghu, a unique blend of nine different cereals. With a passionate vision to create a nutritious and flavorsome product, Sonam embarked on a mission to bring these locally grown grains to the forefront of the culinary world.
One of the defining aspects of FINN Production is its commitment to supporting local farmers and promoting sustainable farming practices. Over the past few years, the company has provided opportunities for approximately 100 farmers, fostering economic growth and preserving Bhutanese culture.
By sourcing ingredients directly from these farmers, Sonam ensures that “business not only benefits the community but also creates a positive impact on the environment.”
“When we started, we had a clear goal in mind—to promote sustainable farming practices and preserve our Bhutanese culture,” Sonam Zangmo shared. “Supporting local farmers and utilizing their products allows us to create a truly authentic and nourishing product.”
