According to one of the PlayStation’s entrepreneurs in Thimphu town, PUBG has certainly been a successful game and has generated significant revenue through in-game purchases and advertising. However, he cautions that starting a business with PUBG may not be the best option for entrepreneurs.

“The video game industry is highly competitive, and there are many factors that can impact the success of a business,” he explains. “While PUBG may have been successful as a game, it may not necessarily translate into a successful business venture.”

He added that entrepreneurs need to be aware of these trends and be prepared to adapt their business models accordingly. “Entrepreneurs who can tap into these opportunities may be able to build a sustainable and profitable business.”

Another PlayStation owner at Changjiji said there are many costs associated with running a business, such as marketing, development, and personnel,” he said, “Entrepreneurs need to carefully consider whether PUBG can generate enough revenue to cover these costs and turn a profit.”

While PUBG may be a popular game in Bhutan, starting a business with it may not be a viable choice for entrepreneurs for a few reasons:

  1. Limited market size: Bhutan is a small country with a population of less than a million, which may limit the potential market size for a PUBG-related business. This can make it difficult for entrepreneurs to generate significant revenue and sustain their business.
  2. Cultural and regulatory factors: Bhutan has a unique cultural and regulatory environment, and the video game industry may not be fully established or understood by local authorities. This can create uncertainty and risk for entrepreneurs looking to start a business with PUBG in Bhutan.
