Jamtsho is a prominent Bhutanese educationist, social entrepreneur, and advocate for early childhood development. With a deep commitment to nurturing the earliest stages of life, he has become a powerful force in shaping the educational and developmental landscape of Bhutan and beyond.
At the heart of his work lies the belief that the early years of a child’s life are foundational, not only for individual growth but for societal progress. Through this vision, Jamtsho has launched and led several transformative initiatives that bridge education, health, and community welfare.
As the Founder and President of the Bhutan Early Childhood Education and Development Association (BECEDA), he has created a national platform that advocates for quality early childhood education. Under his leadership, BECEDA has taken strides in policy reform, research promotion, and capacity-building efforts, setting new standards for early childhood care in Bhutan.
He also founded the Gelephu Child Care Centre (GCCC), a model private ECCD center located in the visionary Gelephu Mindfulness City. GCCC stands as a shining example of how Bhutanese values can harmoniously blend with global best practices to offer children a nurturing, holistic start in life.
Jamtsho’s influence extends beyond education. As an Executive Committee Member of the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Head of South Asia for the Federation Foundation of Education, he contributes to broader dialogues on social entrepreneurship and regional collaboration. His additional roles as Executive Director of Conclave Education in India and Goodwill Ambassador for the Bhutan Stroke Foundation demonstrate his commitment to lifelong learning and community wellness.
To young entrepreneurs and educators, Jamtsho’s journey is a lesson in purpose-driven leadership. His work continues to inspire cross-sector partnerships, empower grassroots innovation, and most importantly, place children at the center of Bhutan’s developmental narrative.
