Kinzang Dorji

Kinzang Dorji is from Wamrong in Trashigang Dzongkhag and currently works as a Special Education Teacher at Khaling Lower Secondary School in Bhutan. He also serves as the Inclusive Education (IE) Coordinator, helping ensure that every student — regardless of ability or background — feels respected, supported, and included in the school environment.

Kinzang holds a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Inclusive Education and has a strong background in supporting children with diverse learning needs. He previously served as the Head of the English Department and was elected Class Representative during his postgraduate studies, where he gained valuable leadership and communication skills. He also completed the DeSuung Integrated Training Program, which promotes community service and national unity.

In 2014, Kinzang founded the Tarayana Club in Samtse to encourage youth to volunteer and help others. He received an award in 2015 for his dedication to community service and another in 2017 for his contribution to education in Lhuentse Dzongkhag. He has led action research projects to improve inclusive practices in schools and has mentored many young teachers to adopt inclusive teaching methods.

Kinzang is passionate about creating an education system where no child feels left out. He hopes to influence inclusive education policies in Bhutan and provide more training for teachers. He also believes in the power of community service and wants to inspire youth to lead with kindness, fairness, and teamwork — values that guide his work and life every day.
