“It wasn’t always easy, but I firmly believe that greatness is born out of hard work and perseverance. Day in and day out, I practiced tirelessly, pushing myself to the limit. Even when my body begged for rest, I persisted because I knew that this was the path to success,” he added.

I am Kuenzang Jigme, and my life has been a thrilling journey fueled by an unyielding passion for excellence. Graduating from Royal Thimphu College with a full scholarship, generously granted by the Bhutan Olympic Committee and the college itself, stands as a defining achievement in my life. As a proud member of both the Volleyball and Beach Volleyball National Teams of Bhutan, my mission has been to embody sportsmanship and dedication, striving to make a positive impact on the world and inspire others along the way.

My love for volleyball ignited from a young age, where I would spend countless hours playing with my friends in the village, reveling in the sheer joy of the game. As the sun dipped behind the mountains, I would return home with my heart brimming with dreams of one day representing my beloved country on the grand stage of international competition.

This dream, however, wasn’t handed to me on a silver platter. It required relentless dedication and unwavering determination. I pushed myself beyond my limits, training day in and day out, honing my skills, and never faltering in my pursuit of greatness. The path was arduous, but I understood that true greatness is born out of hard work and unwavering perseverance. All the hours of practice paid off when I was selected to join the prestigious Bhutan National Volleyball Team, an honor that filled my heart with immense pride and gratitude.

Guided by the wisdom of my parents, coaches, and mentors, I firmly rejected these lures, choosing a path of virtue and self-respect.
