I am Tshewang Thinley from Wamrong, Tashigang. I am the founder of Bhutan Instant Surveying (BIS), where I manage everything I am also a licensed Cadastral Surveyor certified by National Land Commission Secretariat, offering a range of land and survey-related services. At BIS, we specialize in Cadastral Surveying, Engineering Surveying, Topographic Surveys, and facilitating and transaction services.

I graduated my diploma in surveying at Jigme Namgyel Engineering College. After graduating, I gained a lot of practical experience, which helped me start BIS. I was fortunate to get a special loan from the Loden Foundation that didn’t charge interest or require collateral, and this financial support was crucial for building my business. I have also been actively involved in many programs for entrepreneurs organized by the Ministry of Labour, the Loden Foundation, and UNDP Bhutan.

One of my proudest achievements is being recognized as the “Best Entrepreneur” in several programs held between 2020 and 2022 by the Ministry of Labour, working with the Loden Foundation and UNDP Bhutan. These awards were big milestones for me and showed that the services BIS provides are truly valuable and make a difference.

I am passionate about using my knowledge of surveying and land to help Bhutan grow in a good and efficient way. My goals are to expand BIS to more places, make our land-related services even better and easier to access, and help other young professionals get started in this field. I am always looking to learn new things and find innovative ways to work in land surveying and as a business owner.
