Yeshey Choden

Yeshey Choden is a professional chef and entrepreneur based in Wangdue. She is the founder and owner of Acho Daka, a unique hospitality space that blends culinary experiences with community engagement.

More than just a restaurant, Acho Daka features an open music bar, an indoor play garden for children, an arcade, and a weekend bookstore, creating a vibrant and welcoming destination for families and community members alike.

Although she never initially envisioned a career in the culinary arts, Yeshey discovered her passion for cooking after stepping into the kitchen. What began as a chance opportunity soon grew into a deep appreciation for food, creativity, and the ability to connect people through shared meals. Today, she views culinary skills as a global language, one that opens doors and unites people across cultures.

As a small business owner, Yeshey has navigated numerous challenges, including limited local footfall, financial constraints in the post-COVID economy, and the ever-demanding task of balancing work and personal life. Running a business, she reflects, is a 24/7 commitment that requires resilience, adaptability, and vision.

One of the early hurdles was gaining visibility, as Acho Daka’s location on the outskirts of town meant that strategic outreach was crucial in building a loyal customer base.

Despite these obstacles, Yeshey remains committed to continuous growth through innovation and self-improvement. She defines entrepreneurship as the ability to craft a unique brand, take bold risks, and transform challenges into practical, creative solutions.
